Description

BMW engineers designed the BMW R1200GS as a motorcycle that almost begs to go off-road. Our development team has been able to further enhance some of its strong off-road capabilities.

This motorcycle protector is a complete game changer!

Robustness and functionality are extremely important to Touratech. The huge Touratech engine guard can efficiently prevent serious damage such as holes in the engine block.

Multiple folded ribs in the 4mm thick aluminum base plate provide maximum strength, while a lower stainless steel mounting plate on the motor distributes the impact force over a large area via 6 bolt points. These two base plates have no influence on the ground clearance.

Another advantage is that the front part of the engine guard lifts high enough to protect the oil filter and oil cooler. The bolt heads, which are already recessed, are completely hidden by plastic rails on the lower part of the base plate.

Last but not least, the plastic rails allow the bike to "slide" over pebbles, stones and tree stumps. They also prevent dirt build-up, almost as an afterthought.

To summarize, the huge Touratech engine cover for the BMW R1200GS is a product that meets the strictest criteria while being a visual show stopper!
